In celebration of its 20th anniversary, KCGS launches a new company name ‘한국ESG기준원’ alongside a new corporate identity. With these renewals, KCGS aims to develop into the best ESG institution that provides a top-notch market infrastructure based on its experience and capacity. The new corporate identity is shaped like a compass and embodies the institute’s commitment to presenting a desirable pathway for ESG in the local capital markets. The existing English abbreviation KCGS remains unchanged, which is well-known globally. It is, however, reinterpreted as the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability.
At the roundtable, Dr. Kim, Hyung-Seok, leading the Policy Research Division at KCGS, gives a presentation titled KCGS’s Future Development Strategy and Challenges, followed by a panel discussion focusing on ESG-related issues in Korea and abroad. The panelists include experts representing firms, investors, academia, and regulatory bodies.
