- This AGM season, institutional investors’ engagement activities showed changes in substance rather than scale: ESG topics accounted for a much bigger portion of the total engagement initiatives, and the investors’ engagement disclosure added concreteness.

- Other than engaging companies, institutional investors are taking action to reinforce ESG investment by creating an ESG committee and a dedicated team and declaring support for TCFD. 

- In tandem with the amendment to ESG-related laws and pension funds’ strengthening ESG investment policy, institutional investors are expected to accelerate their move toward shareholder engagement and ESG investment.
