KCGS established and is implementing a code of ethics to share the goals and values it pursues and to prescribe the standards of conduct that its officers and employees should abide by to create a healthy and fair organizational culture.

The key contents are as follows:
  • 1. Basic Attitude of Officers and Employees To be in alignment with the values and philosophies pursued by KCGS, officers and employees shall respect the laws and social values and orders and engage in various social contribution activities to contribute to national and social development.
  • 2. Independence and Impartiality of Duties Officers and employees shall perform the duties assigned to each of them faithfully and shall not engage in an act that impairs the independence and impartiality of their duties.
    In performing the duties, no officer or employee shall discriminate against a specific person or class without a reasonable justification or give preferential treatment to a specific person on the grounds of personal relationships based on familial ties, region, academic background, and others.
    Officers and employees shall behave in a prudent and rational manner to prevent any acts or relationships from occurring in conflict with the interests of KCGS and clients. In the case where the interests of KCGS and an individual or department conflict, the interests of KCGS shall be given priority. In the case where the interests of clients and KCGS, etc. conflict, the interests of clients shall be given priority. As for the duties that have a separate regulation on the prevention of conflicts of interest, the relevant regulation shall take precedence over this code of ethics (referred to as the “Code” hereinafter).
    Officers and employees shall keep confidential any information obtained in relation to the duties of KCGS and utilize it within the range of the purposes as per the internal regulations of KCGS only.
  • 3. Prohibition of Pursuit of Undue Benefits Officers and employees shall use the property of KCGS, the information known to them in relation to the performance of their duties, etc. for the activities performed as officers and employees of KCGS and for approved purposes only and shall not make or solicit investment, etc. in the interest of themselves or a third party using nonpublic information that is known to them in relation to the performance of their duties.
    In relation to the discharge of the duties of KCGS, no officer or employee shall make a solicitation of any act that harms the impartial discharge of the duties or make an intercession of such kind.
    In relation to her/his duties or positions, no officer or employee shall accept, demand, or promise to receive any money, goods, etc. from other officers or employees or persons related to duties, except for the money, goods, etc. that are allowed under internal rules, such as those that a senior offers to a subordinate for purposes of consolation, encouragement, reward, etc. When engaging in an external activity, officers or employees shall comply with the internal rules of KCGS, be careful not to harm the reputation of KCGS, and exercise caution to avoid the misunderstanding of the opinion of an individual as that of KCGS.
  • 4. Creation of Healthy Work Culture No officer or employee shall engage in sexual violence, sexual harassment, or workplace harassment (referred to as “sexual harassment, etc.” hereinafter). Where receiving a report about or becoming aware of the occurrence of sexual harassment, etc., the officer in charge of the Code (referred to as the “OC” hereinafter) and the vice-president shall, without delay, conduct an objective investigation and take measures to protect the victim. Where the occurrence of sexual harassment, etc. is verified as a result of the investigation, the president, the vice-president, and the OC shall, without delay, take necessary measures such as taking disciplinary measures against the perpetrator.
  • 5. Reporting of Violations and Verification Authority An employee who is forced to engage in an act in breach of the Code or who becomes aware of an undue act shall report it to the OC. After verifying the reported violation, the OC shall take necessary measures, such as calling a disciplinary committee meeting, depending on the case.
    The president shall provide employees with training for compliance with the Code and ensure a thorough identification of the causes and education to prevent the reoccurrence of a violation, if any.
